Professional Develop Advisory Committee

The purpose of the Professional Development Committee is to design and support professional development activities for faculty, and staff in order to provide a broad range of educational approaches and support services necessary to ensure that students achieve their highest potential.

Consequently, the mission of Professional Development is to support quality teaching, learning, and support services for all students by providing the necessary resources for employees to develop and fulfill career, personal, and professional needs and goals. Continuous professional development and training is essential to maintain highly qualified faculty and staff committed to serving the educational needs of students.

The PDAC meets during the school year at the School Administrative Unit 23 Central Office. If you have any questions, please contact Erik Erickson, Director of Curriculum, Instruction & Assessment, at (603) 787-2113 ext 117 or eerickson@sau23.org.

The Professional Development Committee is responsible for the ongoing evaluation of the Professional Development Master Plan in the spring of each year. The Committee will annually assess the plan to determine how well it meets national standards. The baseline data from the professional development needs assessment completed as part of the process of developing this Master Plan will provide a starting point for measuring improvements. Additionally, student achievement data will be examined to evaluate the success of our collaborative professional development activities and to set direction for future professional development planning.
